Some times you just gotta have 'FAITH'
Faith was on death row at a local shelter. Picked up as a stray! She came to us on Saturday, May 31st, 2008.
She was skin and bones and very high heart worm positive. When I
seen her at the shelter it looked as if she had just given up to die. She had no name and wouldn't even get up and come get a cookie.
My heart was breaking for her.
I had went to the shelter that day to pick up a red and white Husky girl that was low HWorm positive! What an experience that turned out to be. It had such a overwhelming effect on me that I came home and wrote an open letter about the day. It can be found on the page titled "I WALKED ON."
Faith is such a wonderful Husky, despite what she has already been through. It does not take but just a few minutes before she is your new best friend. She does not mind other dogs, nor does she chase the cat. She will even give the kitty some kisses. She is already housetrained and crate trained. And so far she does not appear to be a digger or a jumper. She is still very emancipated and weak, therefore she cannot start her heart worm treatment until June 14th. Right now she is on antibotics and other medications as well as a special diet.
At this time we are asking for donations for Faith's care and treatment. Anything that anyone can spare is greatly appreciated. All of her shots have already been done. And her spaying is paid for, but her heartworm treatment is going to be costly.
Dr. Ross gives Faith a good prognosis report seeing as how she is so young. He estimated her to be between 12 to 15 months old.
Please help us to help her.
