Kinsey
Poor sweet Kinsey came to us a mess. She was weak, very thin and sad. Both of her ears were so infected you could smell the infection several feet away. It was draining from her ears and eyes. And if that wasn't enough- the heavy collar that she had on was almost to the point it had embedded itself into her neck! Pieces of the collar had already attached to the fur around her neck. And when I got her cleaned up and brushed she finished losing most of the fur on the bottom side of her neck that wasn't already gone from the collar rubbing her, as if she were trying to get off a very heavy chain for quite some time. She was very shy and terribly skittish around everyone and everything. Dr. Dunagan gave her a antibiotic and other med.'s
UPDATE: (One week later) We have begun to see a different Kinsey! On her third day she finally came to us seeking affection, and we made the ultimate mistake, LOL.. we allowed her in the bed with us! And that is where she has slept since. She gets in the bed and does not get down all night... ohh if they were all this easy. On her fifth day here she began bowing down and wanting to play. The first time she did that it brought tears to my eyes.
On a sad note: It has been discovered that poor Kinsey has lost most of her hearing. She will be going back to the doctor to try and determine how much she can hear (if any) on July 7th.
Kinsey is up to date on her her shots now but she is not yet spayed because of being so sick. We will be posted updates on Kinsey's progress. If you would like to donate to help Kinsey our pay-pal address is
