Tucker
Meet Tuck!
He is a beautiful baby! Tucker celebrated his fourth birthday on February 27, 2008. And the poor boy still does not have a permanant home
In April 2007 Tucker found himself in a north Georgia animal shelter. He was orginally labeled a Alaskan Malamute! He was fully vetted there and he was found to be heart worm negative.
On May 2, 2007 Tucker was adopted by a couple from Tennessee to what he probably thought would be his forever home. At some point in the next year they moved to Maryland with him.
On June 4th, 2008 Tucker was owner surrendered in Maryland for numerous "reasons" -after they shaved him! One of the reasons being: he is heart worm positive!
On June 11th after seeing the email about him, I wrote to say, that although I am full, I had one emergency opening, although I have two that are heart worm positive already, although money and the economy is at all time low.. that if transportation could be arranged that I could take him in. I would help him no matter what!
The transport was arranged! On June 14th he left Maryland and headed south again. We went to Charlotte NC to bring poor Tucker home to SC.
We stopped at Bojangles to get a biscuit and afterwards he slept most all the way being constantly petted and rubbed by Karin.
Tuck is doing great! He is getting along with most all other dogs as long as they dont have a problem with him. He is pretty affectionate...
AND
he is heartworm positive.
With having so many in need right now we are accepting donations towards Tucker's treatment. His treatment will cost $250.00.

As always our Veternarian information is available, and you can donate directly to the Vet office if you prefer. IF you decide to dontate to our Vet please sent us a email as the Vet's office staff is very busy and will sometimes forget to call.
